Le Mode Français

Even as a child I was obsessed with all things French. I probably watched every episode of Madeline at least three times and poured over her outfits in the books (I was particularly fond of her blue coat). This love of Parisian Chic did not end as I got older, it intensified! Paris has always been the style and fashion capitol of the world, and for good reason! French women have an effortlessly sexy and understated style that when duplicated by their non-french counterparts never look near as dazzling as it does in the Quartier Latin. Luckily we can take some cues from les femmes and upgrade our style just a little but more.
Fabulous Furs

Faux Fur-  Let me just start off with saying that I am very against wearing real fur, I find it  to be a very cruel practice and industry. However, you can still flaunt an air of class by wearing faux fur. It's still soft and warm but much less expensive and cruel.

The Fashion Spot

In classic tribute to the beloved Coco, French women wear heaps of neutral colors and pair them with some brights for a small pop of color. This rule can apply to any outfit for any situation. A black and white striped shirt with a bright necklace for summer casual or an LBD with bright heels for the office, easy peasy.

Etienne Aigner

Parisian apartments are tiny. Parisian closets are even tinier. French women have learned to invest in a few versatile and quality items instead of buying many cheap clothes that change with every season. It's a classic quality over quantity dilemma. French women keep their wardrobes for much longer than  most women, which is not only easier and cheaper, but better for the environment!

Parisian beauty routines also differ from most other parts of the world. These women pay impeccable attention to their skin, cleansing and moisturizing with great products everyday. They understand the importance of sleep and relaxation. There are so many lessons we can learn from these super chic femmes!
