When I was first told about the film "The Artist," I was a little bit skeptical. For any of you who haven't heard of the movie, it's a mostly silent, black and white film that chronicles an actor trying to cope with the introduction of sound in movies. At first I was certain I would dislike it, there's a reason we now watch color movies with sound, but I found it to be absolutely charming! It held my attention really well (probably because there was no talking so I HAD to pay attention to understand what was going on) and by the end I was smiling like crazy! AND there is the cutest little dog in the movie! I read somewhere that the dog that starts in "The Artist" is the first dog to be awarded a star on Hollywood Blvd! I really recommend it for everyone, even if you don't think you'll like it!
