Oh. My. Goodness. I just ate one of the BEST desserts I have every made (something from
Chocolate Covered Katie would probably be first). I made ice cream from bananas! It's a super simple and healthy recipe. All you need is frozen bananas (one or two will do, although I made a batch with three), cocoa powder, peanut butter, and a small amount of your favorite milk (I used light soy). I've read recipes before that suggest just putting a frozen banana in a food processor and then eating that as ice cream. That may be fine for some people, but for me that's just not dessert. I combined all the ingredients in my blender (this would work WAY better in a food processor) and blended until smooth, stirring every once in a while. The result was fantastic!! I had a huge bowl of dairy, gluten, and guilt free chocolate peanut butter ice cream and it was delicious!
