We all have our vices and I am no exception! I have several not so good habits that I'd like to kick. Here's a list of my worst beauty habits:
1. Nail Biting- I don't chew on my nails or really even bite them, but I do mindlessly run my teeth over my nail polish (I know it's gross, that's why I want to stop!). This results in chipping manicures and split nails, not pretty. To end this bad habit of mine I've started taking a vitamin specifically for hair, skin and nails (Swisse has a good one that's not too expensive) and I'm going to start painting my nails even MORE so that I want to keep them looking nice and neat.
2. Makeup Removal- This habit is especially bad because I have no excuse! I have makeup wipes in my beauty drawer but am just too lazy at night to take it off. I'm also really bad about not taking my makeup off before I go to the gym which results in ugly breakouts! I'm going to start keeping my makeup wipes on my bedside table and a packet in my gym bag, just so they're more accessible.
3. Junk Food- I am nowhere near as bad with this now as I used to be! I used to eat junk/fast food all the time but thankfully I've eased up a bit. I now can practice portion control if my man insists on driving through the Golden Arches (kids meals are fine for adults too, and they come with fruit and water!) or my chocolate craving hits (two squares of dark chocolate is wonderful!). If I'm craving something salty I'll have air popped popcorn or a small handful of whole grain chips (think sunchips or grain waves). I'm going to try to eliminate fast food from my diet all together and order healthy meals if we decide to eat out!
4. Exercise- We all know that exercise is amazing and helps in almost every part of your life, so why wouldn't we do it?!? I tend to go through waves of loving to work out to fusing to my couch and I think this is because I don't hold myself accountable to go to the gym. BUT I've just bought a membership (with a contract so I won't try to weasel my way out of it!) and I have my first session with a trainer tonight, wish me luck!

5. Playing With My Hair- I don't know why, but I constantly feel the need to touch my hair. I twirl it, braid it, take it out, put it back up - it's crazy. All this touching leaves my locks a bit limp and messes up whatever texture I had going on (I usually have it curly which means touching it a lot leaves it frizzy and poufy- good for the runway but not for class). I can't think of a magically solution for this except to try to stop myself whenever I realize I'm doing it. If guys have any tips please share them!
So there they are, my worst offending habits. Since it takes 21 days to make a new habit, I'll check in with you guys in a month and tell you how I'm going breaking the habit!
Do you have a bad beauty habit? What is it?
