This week was big for me! I started a 12 week challenge at my gym, and so far the first week is going great! I've starting making a weekly eating plan for myself, which I'll share with you guys every week so you can follow along if you'd like! It's based on the Blogilates 90 day plan, The Look Better Naked plan, and my own personal knowledge and preferences. The absolute BEST part of this plan is breakfast! I give myself the choice of an egg white omelette, special K, oatmeal or protein pancakes! Even though I have the choice, I almost always choose the pancakes because they're just so yummy! I got the recipe from Blogilates and tweaked it to fit what I like!
Protein Pancakes for One
Ingredients:
1/2 Banana
2 Egg Whites
1 Scoop of Protein Powder (I recommend GNC's 100% Whey Cookies and Cream)
2 Tbls Soymilk (or any milk!)
1 Tbls Oats
Pinch Cinnamon
Method:
Mash the banana first, then mix in the other ingredients. Spray a skillet with non-stick spray then warm over medium heat. Add the batter and flip after about one minute.
I usually just make one big pancake, but you could make 3-5 small ones too if you wanted!
What's your favorite healthy breakfast? Let me know in the comments!!
Yum these sound really good! I've been looking for a yummy and healthy pancake recipe, and I may have to try this one! I found your blog via Coming Unstitched, and I'm so glad I did!
ReplyDeleteI love pancakes- I'll have to try this recipe so I can eat them without feeling guilty!!
ReplyDeleteThis is similar to my grandma's recipe barring the protein powder which makes it even more nutritious.
