If
you're a Disney freak (like me!), you'll be well aware that Disney re-released
Cinderella on DVD and Blu-ray with amazing digital retouching. And if you're a
makeup freak (like me!), you'll be well aware that Sephora followed suit and
released an exclusive Disney Cinderella collection! Being a lover of both
Disney and makeup, I had to buy the collection! I purchased the Storylook Eyeshadow Palette, the Moonlit
Kiss Lipstick Collection, the So This
Is Love... Eau de Parfum Spray, and the A Brush with Fate Nail Polish Collection. So far I've used
the perfume and the eyeshadow palette and swatched the polish and lipsticks. I
am impressed! The colors are absolutely gorgeous, all the products are well
pigmented and easy to use. Now I'll go through each product and tell you what I
think!

The nail polish comes in a set of 6 mini bottles. They
are the Sephora by OPI formulation, which I like. They are fairly long lasting
and don’t easily chip. All six colors are glitters, with three of them being
REALLY glittery and the other three being more of a shimmer. The colors are a
silvery blue, a silvery purple, a pink, gold, bronze, and a royal blue. The
pink and the royal blue are my favorites, but all six are lovely colors. AND
they have the cute names like Rags to Rhinestones and So Totally Enchanted.
Adorable. The set is $24.50, which to me is bit expensive considering I don’t use
nail polish that often, but I am glad I bought them and I’m sure I’ll use them.

Despite the fact that it was Disney makeup
(swoon!), I had trouble paying the price for this palette. It runs at $55,
which is about typical for large palette (Naked and Naked 2 are $50 a piece),
but I already own a a few palettes that I really enjoy and I wasn't sure I
needed any more eyeshadow! In the end I decided to purchase it mostly because
it is a LARGE palette with varied color selection and both matte and shimmer
shades (in short it's versatile). The packaging is gorgeous and the palette is
removable in case you wanted to depot the shadows and use the box for something
else. At first glance I was a little concerned because there is a ton of COLOR
in the palette. I'm very much a nude eye kind of girl and I wasn't sure that I
could make colors (especially a burgandy and mustard yellow) work. But I have
been so impressed; All the colors are very flattering on, and are buildable so
you need not worry about overdoing it on the mint green (or cinderelly as it's
named!) because it will go on quite naturally. To be honest, I would have
enjoyed if the colors were even more pigmented. The eyeshadow also had really
good staying power and did not crease for me (yay!). most excited part is that
on the side of the “story book” it says Disney Vol. 1, which makes me think
that there may be other Disney movie lines in the future!

Now for my favorite part of the collection, the So This
is Love… perfume! The reviews on Sephora about this perfume were not very
promising, many were negative and even more said that the perfume was average.
I decided to buy it anyway because it sounded like my kind of scent and I’m a
sucker for full collections. I don’t know what those people were talking about!
I think this perfume smells so feminine and romantic, I love it! I’m not very
good at describing scents but Sephora described it as romantic, dreamy and
delicate with notes of Fresh
Aldehydes, Plumeria, Dewy Hyacinth, Tuberose, Sheer Jasmine, Solar Accord,
Musks, Plum, and Creamy Woods. This is my new favorite perfume and I’m sure I’ll
be wearing it almost everyday. If you don’t want to spend the $58 on the 1.7
ounce bottle, they do make a rollerball of the scent which is only $19.

The lipsticks did not disappoint either. The packaging is
a beautiful silver tube with an etched design on the side. There are four very
different colors, a berry (Lady Tremaine), a light peachy pink (Pumpkin), a
rose (Who Is She?), and a sparkly champagne pink (My Moment). The berry is a
great winter color but the champagne pink is my favorite because it’s such a
fun color and great for everyday wear. The formulation of the lipstick were about
average, they lasted about 2 hours but weren’t very drying. I think the set was
certainly worth the $25 I paid for it.
The collection also
has an eyeshadow quad (which I didn’t get because I was already buying the big
palette), a compact (which sold out only a short while after it was released L), and they also have
sold out if the perfume that came in a Swarovski crystal bottle (I wasn’t fancy
or rich enough to buy it anyway!). Overall I found the Collection to be really
fun. I hope that Sephora releases more Disney Collections in the future!
